Ryan Wade

Managing Director

As Managing Director of Georgeson, Ryan specialises in providing strategic advice and execution services for takeovers, mergers, corporate restructures, demutualisations, capital raisings and other extraordinary transactions.

Since joining Georgeson in February 2002, Ryan has managed many high profile takeovers and schemes including St George's merger with Westpac, Manchester Unity's merger with HCF, Coles’ merger with Wesfarmers, nib's demutualisation, Suncorp’s merger with Promina, APA’s bid for Qantas and Toll’s takeover of Patrick. Other transactions managed include WMC’s defence of Xstrata’s bid, Tabcorp’s bid for TAB and Woolworth’s bid for ALH.

Alex Manger

Director, Institutional Services & Business Development

As Director of Institutional Services, Alex specialises in institutional proxy solicitation and acceptance canvassing services for takeovers, mergers and other extraordinary transactions.
Alex has an intimate understanding of the institutional investment industry having worked at Thomson and Computershare Analytics as well as having over 15 years broking experience.
Alex has worked on many transactions, including the Agrium Inc’s acquisition of AWB, Sino Gold’s merger with Eldorado, Perseverance Corp / Northgate and Anzon / Arc Energy acquisitions, Sino Gold’s takeover of Golden China, the LinQ Resources Fund proxy battle and Allco Group’s EGM. 


Catherine Napper

Account Director

Catherine joined Georgeson in July 2006, and as an Account Director is responsible for the management and execution of targeted shareholder communication campaigns across a broad range of corporate actions.
Catherine has worked on many large transactions, including AMP’s acquisition of AXA APH, Woolworths’ takeover of Danks, Manchester Unity’s merger with HCF, Coles’ merger with Wesfarmers, Promina’s merger with Suncorp, Toll’s restructure, Rank’s takeover of Burns Philp, the Smorgon / OneSteel merger scheme and the proposed Flight Centre privatisation.
Other transactions that Catherine has worked on include Gunns’ bid for Auspine, the Australis Aquaculture Share Purchase Plan; Rural Press / Fairfax Merger Scheme; CommodiTel’s bid for Sonnet and James Pascoe’s bid for Angus & Cootes.   


Ben Horne

Account Director

As an Account Director at Georgeson, Ben is responsible for the execution of targeted shareholder communication campaigns for a variety of M&A transactions and capital raisings.
Transactions that Ben has worked on include Barrick Gold’s takeover of Equinox, BHP Billiton’s 2011 share buy-back, MyState Financial’s merger with Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees, Dairy Farmers merger with National Foods, Computershare’s takeover of QM Technologies, Palmary’s takeover of Consolidated Minerals, Alcoa’s bid for Alcan; MFS Living & Leisure’s bid for Tourism NZ; the Gloucester Coal / Xstrata merger; and Denison Mines bid for OmegaCorp.
Since joining Georgeson in early 2001, in addition to his experience in running campaigns as an Account Director Ben also has been operationally involved in many campaigns performing training, quality assurance, and call centre management functions.


Minh Quan

Senior Data Analyst

As Georgeson’s Senior Data Analyst, Minh is responsible for the profiling and segmenting of shareholder data, proxy campaign management and statistical analysis and reporting. Since 2001 Minh has been an integral part of the Georgeson team providing the skills and experience to enable Georgeson’s renowned response times and accurate data management which is essential in the time critical world of M&A.
