New York, NY – Georgeson, a Computershare company, and the world's foremost provider of strategic shareholder consulting services to corporations and shareholder groups, announced that Don Cassidy has joined Georgeson as executive vice president of Business Development and Corporate Strategy.
Don will focus on managing the business development process and continue to bolster Georgeson services and solutions to help clients achieve their goals. He will represent the company at industry events around the country in an effort to connect and engage with issuers and other industry experts.

Prior to joining Georgeson, Don spent over 20 years with Fidelity and brings significant global experience in legal, compliance, and corporate governance matters, with particular expertise related to shareholder engagement within the institutional investor community. Early in his career, Don served as the Director of Investment Proxy Research at Fidelity Investments in Boston, leading corporate governance policy and the voting process for Fidelity’s US-based funds and institutional client portfolios. Don also spent twelve years in the United Kingdom working for Fidelity International (FIL) as a director in the Global Institutional Business group and as director of FIL’s Corporate Governance Research group. Most recently, Don served as the head of the legal department for FIL Limited in Bermuda.
Don received his Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was a member of the Minnesota Law Review; he has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1994. Don received a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
