Holders often have a need to report property early before the dormancy period has fully been met. Most states will allow for early reporting in some circumstances, however, some states do require prior approval by the state administrator or Treasurer. Due diligence is often a prerequisite for early reporting. Be sure that you check with each state before reporting property early.
